SENNHEISER MICROPHONES
A selection of the most popular types are generally held in stock, but all the
Sennheiser range are available to special order. Full brochures and data sheets are
available on request - please advise for which types these are required. All types are
200 ohm output, with XLR connector, unless otherwise stated.
“Evolution” series dynamic microphones
The Evolution Series presents a complete range of dynamic microphones for every
conceivable performance requirement. They combine more than 50 years of
Sennheiser microphone design with the very latest advances in manufacturing and
materials technology. The range delivers the highest standards of performance and
construction at remarkably affordable prices. They feature rugged construction and
component assembly including fully die cast zinc housings for all vocal mics, together
with advanced suspension and shockmount techniques. New Neodymium magnet
capsules are not only capable of handling very high sound pressure levels (>150dB
SPL throughout the range), but give high output levels.
e815s
Cardioid dynamic speech and vocal mic with rugged metal housing and on/off switch.
Frequency response: 80-12000Hz. Sensitivity: 1.5mV/Pa.
e825S
Cardioid entry-level vocal and general purpose microphone with noiseless reed on/off
switch. Well balanced frequency response with a warm, clear and transparent signal.
e835/e835S
Cardioid quality vocal microphones with uniform frequency pick-up pattern to
maintain signal quality when moving on and off axis during performace. Gentle
presence boost to ensure clarity and projection. Minimal proximity effect provides
consistently clear bass send performance regardless of distance from mouth to
microphone. e835S has noiseless reed on/off switch.
e840/e840S
Cardioid dynamic lead vocal mic, with minimum proximity effect for consistent bass
response at varying distance, and a gentle presence boost. The e840S has a
noiseless on/off switch.
e845/e845S
Super-cardioid performance vocal microphones with extended high frequency
response. Smooth warm tonal response and full dynamic range, with presence lift for
vocal clarity and projection. Consistent on/off axis and proximity response maintains
sound clarity and consistency, giving greater freedom of movement to the user.
e602
Cardioid dedicated bass microphone. Combines the latest lightweight high perform-
ance voice coil with a traditional large diaphragm capsule design to deliver very low
bass response (down to 20Hz) and fast transient signals. Low frequency extension
and mid band attenuation produces an ultra-smooth pre-shaped signal enabling the
microphone to be used without corrective EQ.
e604
Cardioid space-saving drum and brass microphone. Ideal for low visibility, close mic
techniques. Supplied complete with drum clip.
e608
Possibly the world’s smallest dynamic microphone, with a full-size sound quality.
Hyper-cardioid pattern, ideal for almost invisible clip miking of woodwind, brass and
drums. Newly developed clamp and gooseneck mounting enables the capsule to be
positioned close to the signal source for high realism, high level output. Extensive
damping and shockmounting isolates the capsule and signal from extraneous
vibration, noise and impact. Humbucking coil protects against induced electrical inter-
ference. A high strength, reinforced glassfibre casing protects the capsule from impact
damage.
e614
An electret condenser instrument mic, designed for percussion overhead but also
useful for flute, sax and other instruments. Frequency response: 40-20000Hz.
Sensitivity: 3.0mV/Pa. Phantom power:12-52V, 3mA.
Dynamic microphones
MD42
Omnidirectional reporter’s dynamic mic with excellent suppression of handling-noise
and two-ply basket head for reduced wind noise and vocal “popping”. Frequency
response: 40-18000Hz.
MD46
Cardioid reporter’s dynamic mic with extra-long body, excellent suppression of
handling noise and two-ply basket head for reduced wind noise and vocal “popping”.
Frequency response: 40-18000Hz.
MD421
Cardioid pick-up pattern. Well known general purpose studio mic, with 5 position
bass filter. Suitable windshields are MZW421 and MZW40F. MZS421 is shockmount,
useful for radio station usage where the MD421 is used as an on-air microphone.
COM1424-2
Pre-polarised condenser gooseneck microphone for talkback and conference use.
The microphone is terminated with an 8-pin screw-lock DIN connector for connection
with the Sennheiser iCL conference system, or can be panel mounted with a suitable
socket. The extra pins on the connector are for supplying a DC voltage to the red light
ring at the microphone head, which is used for signalling or indicating when the micro-
phone is live.
