2 ELECTRET
CONDENSER
MICROPHONES
Condenser
microphones
have
gained
a justified
reputation
for
sound perfection
to
studio standards.
For
example,
any
professional
will
confirm that
the
lower
diaphragm
weight in
this type
of microphone
enhances
the
transient
response.
It is hardly
surprising
that
many
an
owner
of
medium
-priced
dynamic
microphone
nurses
an ambition
to buy
a
condenser microphone
sooner
or
later.
Until now,
the high price
of a
really
professional
condenser
microphone
has
too often rendered
it
a mere
pipe
dream.
With
our range
of Electret
Condenser
Micro-
phones,
Sennheiser has
brought
the advantages
of the transducer
principle
right
into
the
reach
of
the medium
-priced
class.
These
advantages
include,
for
example,
the
lower
diaphragm weight
with
resultant
benefits to
the transient
response
and handling
noise
sensitivity,
the
smaller
dimensions
and
the uniformity
of directional
characteristics
at different frequencies.
Senn
-
heiser
has
been particularly
successful in
emphasising
the
benefits
of
lightweight
dia-
phragms
through
use of
the "Back-
Electret"
technology. The
Sennheiser
range
of Electret
Condenser
Microphones
therefore
slots ideally
in
price
and range
of
quality
features
between
the
dynamic
standard
microphones
and the
dynamic
studio microphones.
