NEUMANN PRODUCTS 2010
D-01 With its 15 different remotely
controlled directional characteristics and
numerous additional features, the D-01
can be optimally adapted to almost any
recording situation. It has a newly de-
veloped capsule, and is valued by users
particularly for its hitherto unknown
transparency and fidelity to detail. Also
available as a complete mono or stereo set
in a high-quality aluminum case, including
elastic suspension, DMI-2 interface, RCS
software and all necessary cables.
KM D With the KM D microphones, the
well-known, successful 180 miniature
microphone series enters the digital domain.
In the analog realm the KM 184 in particular
is regarded as a standard for miniature con-
denser mics, and is one of the best-selling of
all Neumann microphones. The KM D micro-
phones have a modular construction, allow-
ing the output stage to be combined with
capsules having eight different directional
characteristics. KM D Starter Sets include a
KM 184 D in Nextel with clip, windscreen and
a Connection Kit for AES/EBU or S/PDIF.

KK 184 + KM D = KM 184 D: Cardioid
KK 185 + KM D = KM 185 D: Hypercardioid
KK 120 + KM D: Figure-8
KK 131 + KM D: Omni, free field equalized
KK 133** + KM D:
Omni, diffuse field equalized
KK 143 + KM D: Wide angle cardioid
KK 145 + KM D:
Cardioid with low frequency roll-off
* The KK... capsule heads can be used as
well as with the analog KM A output
stage.

TLM 103 D The analog version of
the TLM 103 D has for many years played
a key role in ambitious project and home
recording studios, and has made the
Neumann sound available to a wider group
of dedicated audio engineers and musicians.
The TLM 103 D provides all of the sound
features of its analog counterpart, as well as
the advantages of completely digital circuit
technology. TLM 103 D Starter Sets include
the microphone in nickel, an elastic suspen-
sion and a Connection Kit.
Connection Kit
AES/EBU or S/PDIF
The Connec-
tion Kits serve to supply power to digital
microphones, which are in accordance with
the AES42 standard. The microphone audio
signal is made available at the Connection
Kit output in S/PDIF or AES/EBU format,
depending upon the model. The remote con-
trol and synchronization capabilities of the
AES42 standard cannot be used with
the Connection Kit.
DMI-2/DMI-8 & RCS Software
The DMIs are two-/eight-channel devices
which interface the AES42 data format
supplied by the microphone into an AES/
EBU signal. The DMIs are operated via the
Neumann RCS remote control software. The
RCS is installed on a PC or Mac, which is con-
nected to the DMI via an USB port. If a large
number of microphones is used, several
DMIs can be cascaded. In addition to word
clock input, the DMIs have an internal word
clock generator. The DMI-8 offers several
possibilities for an easy integration in audio
networks.
Available soon:
– Portable 2-Channel-DMI
MCA Multichannel Audio Interface to con-
nect up to 8 DMI-8
